A Listing is an agreement between a seller and real estate agent or broker giving the agent or broker the right to sell a specific piece of property. If the agent is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), they must adhere to strict guidelines regarding ethics, marketing, and communication. Listings can come in various forms, though the most common agreement used by homeowners is the Exclusive Right to Sell Listing.
